A trip to the Gaisberg offers many things: nature, scenic views, and fresh mountain air. Especially for locals, nothing new – but this experience goes one step further. At 1,288 meters, you’ll find not only two cozy restaurants and numerous hiking trails, but also one of Austria’s most beautiful flying areas. Together with experienced tandem pilots, you take off and experience Salzburg in a completely different way – from above.

Relaxed Ascent – Your Start into the Adventure

Getting to the top is easy: from Mirabellplatz, bus line 151 takes you directly to the Gaisberg. Without any effort, you reach the starting point of your adventure. Whether alone or in a group, accompanying guests are well taken care of too. While you prepare for your flight, they can enjoy the panoramic views over Salzburg. After arrival, you’ll have a short moment to settle in before things begin: after about 15 minutes of briefing, you’re ready to fly.

Your Flight Over Salzburg

Together with your tandem pilot, you take off and glide silently over the city and the surrounding mountain landscape. It’s an experience that creates a sense of freedom that’s hard to put into words. Depending on wind conditions, your flight lasts around 20 to 30 minutes. You’ll land either back at the summit or at one of the lower landing sites. From there, you can easily return by bus or taxi – completely relaxed.

Memories That Last

So you can relive this experience again and again, your flight is professionally captured. Takeoff, landing, and special moments are recorded with a GoPro, and additional photos are taken during the flight. After landing, you receive all recordings directly on your phone – unusually, at no extra cost! This way, you can revisit your adventure anytime – and of course share it with others.
